About Mark Schroeder

• Schroeder is currently spearheading two major economic development projects which are dramatically improving conditions in his district, 145. The Buffalo River Project includes the construction of two riverfront parks – one in the historical Old First Ward neighborhood at the mouth of the Buffalo River, and the other upstream in a wooded area in West Seneca. The Seneca Street Redevelopment Project focuses on making physical upgrades to the streetscape on one of his district’s major commercial thoroughfares.
• Schroeder left a successful career in the private sector in 2001 in order to serve the public as a county legislator.
• Schroeder grew up in South Buffalo, attending St. Thomas Aquinas School before graduating from Public School #72 and Bishop Timon High School.
• He earned an Associate’s degree from Erie Community College and a Bachelor’s degree from Empire State College.
• Schroeder lives on Coolidge Road in South Buffalo with his wife Kate Horan Schroeder, and has three children, Matthew, Michael, and Allison.

About Linda Rosenthal

• Assemblymember Linda B. Rosenthal represents the 67th Assembly District, which includes the Upper West Side and parts of Clinton/Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan.
• In her time in office, Assemblymember Rosenthal has established herself as a leading advocate on affordable housing, domestic violence, consumer protection, preventive medical care and animal cruelty.
• The Assemblymember passed a total of 22 bills during the 2009 legislative session, including vacancy decontrol legislation. This bill will repeal vacancy decontrol in New York City, increasing the number of apartments under the rent stabilization system. This is considered the most essential reform for housing advocates and renters throughout the city and surrounding counties.
• In previous sessions, Assemblymember Rosenthal has passed laws restricting the escape of spousal and child support payments, providing the right to equal pay regardless of gender, and requiring employers to disclose any electronic monitoring of their employees.
• She also successfully enacted into law bills increasing access to social services for sexual assault victims and extending court orders of protection to companion animals, whose abuse often serves as an early warning sign for spousal and child abuse.

About Naomi Rivera

•	Her constituency is made up of residents from the Allerton, Eastchester Gardens, Morris Park, Norwood, Pelham Bay, Pelham Gardens, Pelham Parkway, Van Cortlandt Village, and Van Nest neighborhoods of the Bronx.
•	Naomi is, and always has been, a staunch supporter and vocal advocate of issues concerning women and children.
•	Naomi has always strived to expand diversity awareness in the Bronx by producing the borough’s annual ethnic pride celebrations, which include the Asian Lunar New Year, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, and Jewish Heritage Month, amongst others.
•	She has helped Bronx elders to receive much needed healthcare, and she has struggled to pass legislation, which will benefit aging citizens, all across the state.
•	Recently, Naomi in conjunction with the Bronx Central Council for Economic Development has taken on the challenge of bolstering the Bronx’s economy. They have joined forces to create a small business assistance initiative entitled “Shop With Us”. This program is tailored at inspiring residents of the 80th Assembly District to support their local merchants by spending their hard earned money within the neighborhood.
•	As a former special events planner for the Bronx, Naomi has developed the belief that special events such as summer programs and concerts are important to the community.
