About Annie Rabbitt

• Elected Assemblywoman for the 97th District in November 2004, she represents 130,000 people in seven towns and 18 villages.
• She understands law enforcement, feels the burden of property taxes, knows the challenges of raising children, and sees the struggles facing small-business owners.
• She demonstrated her dedication early on in her career, serving as a village trustee and deputy mayor of Greenwood Lake.
• As the first female liaison to the public works department, her duties included overseeing the privatization of trash and recyclables collection, which in turn lowered village taxes.
• She is a member of the Empire State Restaurant and Tavern Association and third generation woman business owner of O’Hare’s Pub in Greenwood Lake.
• In 2010, she was honored to serve as the Grand Marshall of the 34th Annual Mid-Hudson St. Patrick’s Parade.
• Assemblywoman Rabbitt is the ranking Minority member on the Assembly Local Governments Committee.
